Marina And The Diamonds

Marina Lambrini Diamandis is the full name of the artist who uses the stage name Marina And The Diamonds. People still mistakenly think Marina and The Diamonds is a band when in reality it is just as Marina said in an interview, her stage name is more of a reference to her being Marina and the fans, being the diamonds. Her music touches on stigmatized topics and has a very different indie/pop sound. I would recommend listening to her old music as well as her newest album, FROOT. Her second album, Electra Heart, was about a character who is now not a part of her music anymore. It's always amazing to watch artists go through phases.

Twenty One Pilots was and is a band that has effected me greatly and become one of (if not) my favorite bands. Tyler and Josh have been writing and playing songs about very stigmatized topics and issues since 2009. The band has grown a lot since the Blurryface album in late 2015. They had three albums put out before Blurryface; Self Titled (Twenty One Pilots), Regional At Best, and Vessel. Vessel was the first time i heard them. I heard House of Gold at a friend's house and really liked it but didn't actually get into the band until last year. 

Supernatural

     A show about demons and angels and demon hunters, Supernatural. It's actually one of the longest running shows thats still going. I really love this series because its very different and a lot of times there are a few episodes in a row that don't really have to do with the big storyline and will just be about one/a group of demon(s) or vampire(s) or shapeshifter(s) that they go hunt. Each of the 12 seasons deals with the issues of the two brothers, Sam and Dean, and sometimes their angel companion Castiel. In this unrealistic T.V. universe angles are bad and usually corrupt. The brothers lose their mom to a demon and their dad as well, dies. They go to hell and back, (literally), multiple times. Though the series is not as exciting and rich as it was when it started it is still one of my favorite currently running shows.

Of Monsters and Men is a five-member folk/alt-rock Icelandic band. You may know them for their hit song "Little Talks". I heard it on the radio years ago and really liked it so i started looking into the band and found more and more music from their albums. They have a very good and unique pleasing sound. I really want to see them in concert and definitely suggest them. My favorite songs are Dirty Paws, Winter Sound, and King and Lionheart. I really like their style and sound and i hope you will. I like that even though they had a hit song they're still not mainstream or "big".

The Neighbourhood is a band from California, formed in 2011. The name of the band is sometimes shortened to or written as the NBHD. The members of the band include Jesse Rutherford, Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, Mikey Margott, and Brandon Alexander Fried. 
Above is a list of their singles, most making it onto the top charts for the US. They have only released two audio albums so far; I Love You and Wiped Out! They also put out a mixtape in 2014 called #000000 & #FFFFFF, I know many people who dislike it, I also prefer their other albums and EPs but can appreciate the style of the mixtape. I''ve been a fan since about 2013 and liked their alt/rock sound. Some of my favorite songs of theirs are; Wires, Let It Go, The Beach, and Daddy Issues. The songs meanings speak for themselves and the bands music is very good all around. 

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is a show on AMC that you've probably at least heard of. It has one of the biggest watching audiences and a giant group of fans who get... really passionate. The show has been killing off loved characters since October 2010. I became a fan about two years ago when a friend suggested the show and I loved it. 

It is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a disease has spread that basically creates zombies. No, they don't find a cure (yet), they're just surviving, in fact it's really interesting to watch and wonder what you would do. Would you fight? Would you give up? Would you depend on other people? I actually don't know what I would do. But the characters and storyline, based off the comics, are extremely diverse and enticing.

From the first Scream movie, in 1996, to the fourth and latest, in 2011, Scream became successfully popular as a witty, funny, and generally gory movie series. Though in recent years many people might argue the movies are getting a bit too cliche and overdramatic, yet the newest addition to the series, the t.v. series, has so far been a big hit with younger generations.

The series stars Willa Fitzgerald as what viewers might call the main character of the show, Emma Duval. Emma is a teen adult in a town called Lakewood where mass-murderer Brandon James died twenty years prior to the current storyline. Brandon James was obsessed with Emma's mother who's nickname was Daisy. The story goes on but so I don't spoil everything or write too much I'll just say Brandon was shot by police and died in the lake in town. 

Since the first episode of the first season to the last episode of the second season many characters have died but many have also grown as characters. For example Brooke Maddox, a close friend of Emma and a character who started out as a seemly mean and popular, somewhat selfish girl. She developed into a complex and genuine character who loves her friends and is trying to change her selfish delinquent ways.

The list of characters goes on but Personally I want to stop there. The show is very new and appealing to many types of people. I would give it a 5/5 stars and recommend you at least try watching it.

What To Watch And Listen To

Hi! This is going to be a blog giving advice on what's good to watch on tv or what music I find good. My selections and reviews will all be opinionated but when talking about how the show did rating wise, with the public, and when summarizing it will not be biased. With music if I'm sharing a band or artist I will have a lot of opinions and share all the pros and cons. Most of the music and shows I will share can be found on YouTube or Netflix. I will be sharing music/shows from all genres that will interest different people. If anyone has a suggestion or question I'd be glad to answer it or accept it. I want to help give people something to do when they are bored or just are interested in new music or a new show.
